Karla Alves: My name is Karla Alves and I am a freelance makeup artist. I was born in Puerto Rico but now relocated to Los Angeles. I have always been intrigued by the ability to change the apperance of a person with makeup and that passion has led me to my career. Graduated with a Bachelors in Telecomunication and a minors in art for a better understanding of the industry. Also graduated from Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles where I studied in creature fx, character, beauty and digital effects. Have worked for Legacy Effects in movies like Iron Man 3, Pacific Rim and many commercials. Fracture FX for movies like 300 the sequel and Beneath. I have worked on independent features, short film, student projects, Grinchmas at Universal Studio and photoshoots. Have experience with foam latex,resins, urethane, fiberglass, rigid foam, poly foam, stone mold and silicone 1082 and 1065.
